Kano believes in building communities. When we ventured into the Idle games genre, we were looking for a theme that represented our values: bringing people together around something shared and loved.  

Drinks are a part of every culture. Social rituals are built around them, they’re an important part of every meal, and most importantly, they are part of vital memories shared with friends, colleagues, loved ones, and even strangers! It’s not for nothing that the beverage industry is one of the world’s most vibrant, both at the international brand scale as well as the thriving local craft vocations. So ingrained into everyday lives, it makes the perfect platform to tell the most meaningful stories.

Idle Distiller is foremost about community. These are friends and colleagues that have banded together against the odds to create something they love and want to share with the world. It’s written like a sitcom, with each episode presenting a silly challenge to overcome as a pretext to get those relationships even more tight-knitted, including both the cartoony cast and the players. With every event, we get to take pre-existing relationships and explore them in wildly different contexts, taking them through time and space even, but community always at the core.

We launched just last July on Android and iOS, and already Idle Distiller's community has grown across the globe, currently in the top 100 grossing lists in over 30 countries. It is also our first fully translated title, now in six languages and with more on the way. We couldn’t be more proud of the family we’ve discovered.
